Today's the day!

Way ahead of our original schedule, but we bring home the new camper tonight.

I gotta be honest, I am just a wee bit apprehensive about backing the thing into the driveway the first time. I'm not afraid of pulling any trailer, but after backing the old Roo in so many times, I knew exactly where to pull up to, how far to cut the wheels, where the trailer tires had to be, etc. With this one, none of my visual clues will apply. Coupled with the fact that it will probably be dark, and they are calling for rain, not the ideal scenario.

I'll just take my time and not get in any rush. I've used AutoCAD to plot out the space and where exactly to put it so I can open all the slides. I got about 2 foot side to side, and 3 foot front to back leeway, so it's not terribly snug, but not wide open either.

Pictures to come!

Tim

I had to hire an excavation crew to widen my driveway to make parking my TT at my house possible.

Brought ours home one month ago, I know the excitement!
Backed it down a Nearly 400' wooded driveway without too much issue!

GRATS on the new Coach Tim!

Fully understand backing a pull behind down a squirrely driveway - been there, done that and I am sure you will do FINE!

Again, congratulations!!

Its still a rockwood. I can put some Roo stickers on it if that helps. Lol.

Actually, I'm kicked back sitting in it right this second. I got off work early and gave it a thorough PDI. now I'm just cold chilling in my recliner waiting to Mama Bear to get here to sign the papers.

I had such an issue with my TT that I bought a power dollie....I think that it saved our marriage. As a hint once I figured out how the best way to get our TT in and out I painted a target on the driveway. Now swmbo and I can park the TT in about 15 minutes. Use to take us about 45 minutes and lots of cussing. We have about a total of 10 inches of clearance in spots. Congrats on the new TT.

Good idea about the targets. Driveway "loop" starts Monday, with a widened parking pad.

Talking Love the new smell...

No response with pictures yet.

Are you still out in the street moving it forwards and backwards to stab it in the driveway or are you busy adjusting the cushions to your specifications?

It is a weekday but you could also christen it with a beverage. I suggest consuming the beverage vs breaking it across the tongue jack.

Man, that's a lot of trailer. She's home and snuggled up in her nest.

Congrats on the new Ultra Lite. Good looking unit!

I took copious measurements when we went from our Roo 23SS to the 27BESS Super Lite and knew the new trailer tracked different. Got to backing into the driveway pretty decent. It was the curves in the CG the first time out that bit me. BIG difference in the length of the Super Lite as opposed to the Roo. Looking in the wrong direction, I pretty much tore off the rear hardware of the power awning. Found out real quick I need a bigger radius on turns and such. Looking at your specs, your Ultra Lite is a little over 2' longer than what my Super Lite was.

Good Luck.

It's home, so I assume all went well with the walk-thru and drive home!
