Tow vehicles

I was just wondering why there is not a section about tow vehicles on this forum?

Well, there is Towing, Hiches & Toads where most post their TV threads. It's a good question and maybe worth consideration.

The reason I ask is that I'm currently looking for a new to me truck to pull my 36' All American fifth wheel toy hauler. Kind of torn between th '05 & '06 Dodge with a 5.9 Cummins or a F-250 with a powerstroke in it. There is alot of knowledge and experience with pulling all over the country and in many different terrains on here not to be able to tap into that knowledge is a shame.

I hear you and I appreciate your suggestion and explanation.

Two things that will help you right now would be to post that question in the forum I linked to above or use the search function. There may be room for a new sub-forum but its something we have to take under careful consideration.

John...that type of question has been asked in the forum Scott pointed you to. That is the forum, at least for now, to ask it. You will get tons of responses, over there, I guarantee it. People are not afraid to give you their opinion on what the best two vehicle is. By the way, welcome, and congratulations on the new 5er.

Well, How about this.

I can start a "tow vehicle poll" in the towing and toad section and you can see who is towing with what.

What it won't do is tell you how heavy the camper is for that size TV.

Let me "ponder" this and come up with something that will be useful.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was kind of thinking along the line of people being able to post up problems with their tow vehicles so that others might learn from them. Like items that break or even a good point about their truck. Issues to avoid or tips that may increase milage. Their is way to much experience on this site to not tap into it.
