TPMS: Too much info... how hot is too hot?

So I figured I'd come back and answer my own question for anyone in a similar situation.

On my recent 800 mile trip to GA things were not as bad as I feared. The highest air temps we hit were in the low 90's and oddly that was in PA on the way home. Generally the temps were in the upper 80's

When I left the tires were all 63-65 PSI cold. After driving for hours they rose to the 70-72 PSI range. The tire temps tended to remain below 30 degrees higher than ambient. So the highest temp I noticed were 120-122 (my monitors are inside the tires). The sunny side was only a few degrees warmer.

So hopefully this help some people on what to expect.

Our experience is that temperatures rise 20 degrees or so during a long trip.

I suspect that temperature rises do to problems would be much higher.

Yeah, its good to get a baseline so you notice when something is off. While my tires didn't go up in lockstep, they were always close and would catch up after a few minutes. Probably something to do with how often the senders update.
