trailer brake control

Hi I've used Curt brake controller and need to get a new one. Anyone suggest a different one or is Curt a good choice? Thanks Dan

I’ve read and seen on utube, great things about the new Curt wireless brake Controller, plugs into the 7 pin connector and Bluetooth to your device/phone. The Tekonsha Prodigy series is great, everyone that has used one, including myself, seem to adore them. That all said, factory controllers, in my case Ford, work best. Mine integrates into the driver displays and tracks history.

I have a P2 I used for 2 seasons a few years back before the new truck with one factory installed. In my opinion it worked muck better. Was cleaning out the basement last weekend and found it...thought I had sold it at a garage sale. If anyone's interested, I'd be willing to sell it for$50...ill cover shipping. Send me a PM if interested.

I tried the Curt Wireless that you access from your phone. I gave up on it because I thought it put too much stress on the connections and left me with the feeling that it might come apart in transit. I also didn't like using my on screen phone slide button for a manual brake.

I would go with the Prodigy 2 or 3.

I've had a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 for many years. I use it regularly with 3 different trailers including the camper. Can't recommend it highly enough. Would buy another in a heartbeat.
