Having owned Ram with of that model, with build in controlers 2015, and an 2018, and seeing your GVWR trailer weight, I would select Heavy Electric, and work from there.
Now do not listen to anybody who says "I like it so I hear the trailer wheels lock up". That is not how modern controllers work. your Ram controller uses pulse modulation and puts out more current at higher speeds than slower speeds. Maybe you might be able to slide wheels in the stones, but I don't even do that.
if you apply the brakes by hand you should feel the trailer slow you down.
but don't crank up the controller so the trailer is actual stopping the truck over the truck brakes.
the goal is for the truck brakes to stop the truck, and the trailer brakes to stop the trailer.
now the last tip. If a large truck (or something) passes you and you feel any sway in the trailer (left to right or like a dog wagging its tail), don't panic, just apply a little brake to the trailer by hand on the controller and it should stop the sway and straighten the rig right out. I still remember the look of fear in my Dad's eyes when he first experienced this sway problem, I might have been 8 years old back than in the 60's).
