Trailer build sheet?

Is there such a thing as a trailer build sheet to see what options the trailer came with? The reason I ask is I am trying to figure out what size air conditioner came with my RV.
Looking at the literature I have the standard is 13500 BTU with 15000BTU optional. I cannot figure out which one I have, would like to upgrade if I have the smaller one.

If you remove the cover, I imagine there must be some sort of tag with a model number or even the BTUs themselves listed, no?

I had it in my hand when I wrote the deposit check. It was already on order when I paid the deposit. I think most dealers don't care about them or think they have a value because I have never seen one an other time on the last 6 units I have purchased.

line by line had every single option/standard item showed exactly how the unit was going to be built.

I received one with each of my trailers. I understand you can email the support person for your division on Forest River Support website and they will send one if you give them the VIN.

Yes. Every unit comes with a multicopy/color build sheet. Most dealers do not provide it unless you push them. It should list make model and serial number of all OEM items installed. It is invaluable should you need help, parts or repairs. If you did not get one push the dealer he has it.

X2. Not the best dealer but I did get this listing all the options out.

2 TT's and 4 fivers … only had one that I got a build sheet, but I didn't ask either. Six to eight screws and the bonnet on your A/C is off so you can see the manufacturer's tag. Plus ... it gives you a chance to look things over as in lint build up on the condenser, any mud daubers nest stuck to things, drain holes clogged. A good owner gets on the roof from time to time to check all things out up there … unless you physically can't or just prefer to fork over money to have someone else do it.

X2 Yes the dealer usually keeps it. We only got one on the camper that we ordered. None on the other 4 campers.

We got ours with our new 2014 Crusader in the huge packet of paperwork at our closing with General RV

It has been very handy

I don't think you need to go on the roof, remove the filter cover on the shroud inside the RV and look for a sticker.

I'm sure your roof can support your weight, sometimes when manufacturers install the roof material, a/c's and other things there will be 2 or 3 people up there.

Yep. There should be a sticker. And while you have the cover off, check / re-tighten the mounting bolts. Mine came from the factory with them only finger tight. In fact, it's a good idea to check every nut, bolt, and screw you can get to.

Dealers will occasionally swap out OEM components if necessary to make a sale. This could cause a build sheet not match the unit so it is easier to just not provide them. Insist on a build sheet if you are buying new.
