I was in a truck stop last Saturday about 50 miles from Yuma, AZ on my way home from a seven week trip and I saw a very elderly lady (I'm guessing mid-80's?) who could hardly walk filling up this monsterously gigantic motor home and I was thinking 'where is her husband'?

As I walked past the front windshield I saw someone in the passenger seat...another elderly woman about the same age!

I just thought it was a strange thing that we don't normally see on the road.

With all that damage, I'm surprised he doesn't have more damage to the rear end!. To bad he won't be at the Maybury rally - I'd love to hear what kind of parking score he would get.

This series of pictures went on to show the MH in the swimming pool as I saw it earlier somewhere else. Also the "wreckers" removing it from said pool.

Those two old gals could probably handle their MH better than the dufus associated with the earlier pictures.

I think you're right!

I knew a widow in her 70's who travelled the country with her dog and cat in a massive RV. She could park that thing anywhere.

She had also sailed around the world earlier in life.

I did witness a 40 foot DP back right over a seawall and into a canal in Central Florida. It took two very large wreckers to extract it. The unit was totalled of course.

I think there's video of it here on the forum. That's what made me give my comment.

Got a call one evening to help someone back into their site better. When I got to the site the driver had managed to get a 12in tree between their travel trailer and their tow vehicle. The tree was against the hitch. It took us about 3 hours to get the driver out of that mess. I still can't figure out how the driver managed to do that, but we had to disassemble the hitch to get the tow vehicle free and then back the tow vehicle in at a 90 degree angle to pull the trailer away from the tree. The drivers only explanation was that this was the first time they had driven the vehicle. And the salesperson had assured them that they would be able to back it okay. Oh well.

Don't assume that she caused the damage to the Benz. She may have been driving it, but that doesn't mean she damaged it. She's obviously married to someone who can't drive.

Knowing that all of us have had some "incident" in our past while learning to drive our rigs, I am really surprised at the number of insulting comments made. Where is the sympathy for a fellow RV traveler? Let the one who has never done a 'dumb' thing with their camper speak up; I want to meet you and shake your hand. I for one have great stories of the dumb, goofy and rookie things we have done during our 16 years of Rving. Thankfully we have been around people who were helpful sympathetic and kind when it happened.
