Truck and RV wash

Does anyone on here use or have used a truck wash to wash your camper? I am just a little lazy, well the truth is a lot lazy, I'm to lazy to wash the camper. I'm at River Plantation in Sevierville, TN and they have a RV wash here and I have been on the road now for five weeks and camper is dirty, it's dirty and I'm lazy. I'm thinking of let them wash camper, it's only a hundred bucks. Work is a dirty word to me. What do you think?

Truck and RV wash

I would find out their hours and be first in line! We sometimes use Blue Beacon truck washes and have been very pleased. Ask them to brush it and spray with Rainex. Truck and trailer will shine and dry with no waterspots. I think we paid about $65.00 last winter in Fort Pierce.

$100 seems a little high. I've been pleased with blue beacon.

My camper is a monster. I would pay someone to wash it for me.

We normally go to Myrtle Beach for a couple of weeks over New Years. There are a couple of folks that make their living by going through the camp ground (Ocean Lakes) washing and waxing RV's.
I recall we paid $150 for a wash and wax. They did a great job including washing both sides of the awning, and the roof. We plan to do it again this year.

X3 on blue beacon...have used them several times at $35-$40 with rainX & wheel shine.
There's one at the Knoxville Flying J if you will be passing through there.
Here's a link to their location list....they have a phone app too.

Last year my better half stated that I was to old to wash and wax my 38 foot fiver. I was taking the fiver to Camping World for a slide adjustment and while it was there the better half called and was going to have them wash and wax the fiver until she found out that they wanted $420. She told me that maybe I was not to old to wash and wax it.

RV Wash

If you are headed down I95, I use Louis' Truck and RV Wash in Richmond Hill, GA (just south of Savannah). It is a hand wash. Costs $45 for my 30 foot Class A- $1.50 per foot. Rain X is extra. I am way too lazy to wash it when I can pay $45 for somebody else to do it. I take retirement seriously!

I was watching a you tube video on a truck wash at Blue Beacon. The high pressure power washing won't hurt the decals on the TT? Any idea what kind of soap they use? Do they wash to roof too?

The RainX makes the water sheet off the winshield in a rainstorm...not just where the wipers work. Worth it for a few bucks.

High power CAN hurt decals if used wrong of course...but it hasn't hurt mine when used from the correct distance. Lets also be clear....this is a power wash that does NOT include direct cleaning of the roof...and it works about like a car wash does for a car in terms of the final product finish. It is NOT a hand wash....and it is priced at a fraction of what a hand wash will cost ya. Just something to keep the coach relatively clean and dirt free ....might be good to supplement it with a full wash & wax by hand once a year but I don't see the need to spring for that.

Spock- we use the blue beacon in haw river, NC all the time. We tell them to keep back with the pressure washers and watch the caulking/seals. They do have a water that comes from the ceiling. Not sure if it soaps too. They do a decent job for $35. I don't get the rain x as we do a spray on wax when we get home.

I just paid $320.00 to have my RV hand-washed and paste waxed. No power washer was used. $10.00 per foot. The only other game in town was $8.00 per foot, but I didn't really trust them to do a good job. Took my truck there, though, and they did an excellent job- just clean and vacuum- for $18.00. I think next time I'll let them wash and wax my RV. And the guy that waxed our RV- I'd give him a "C" grade at best...

RV Wash

Blue Beacon is the only way to go. I have a 40' motorhome and have never paid more than $42.
