Use RV Locks and more

I've used rvlocksandmore.com twice now. Replace those CH751 that everyone has, with ones keyed to match your door lock.

I purchased replacement locks for all my compartments from CH751. Very high quality lock, and top notch customer service. I had to swap out a few cams after the initial order, they were fast and very easy to deal with. I would not hesitate to deal wirh them again.

I guess I don't get why you would want to replace all CH751 locks. Sure, everyone has them, but all these flimsy locks on flimsy compartment doors only keep the honest folks honest. If someone wants in your compartment, a screwdriver or pry bar is much faster than a key

It's nice to have your door lock match your compartment locks. That's why I did it. One less key to mess with. Two less if you do your outside shower.

I think this is an oxymoron. Honest folks don't have to be kept honest, because, well, they're honest. I think simple locks keep opportunistic thieves looking for a better target ... or inherently dishonest people from becoming opportunistic thieves.

Pry bars are much more conspicuous than a key. Yes, with a determined thief, I'd rather him use a key to open my trailer than tear off the panel with a crowbar. But, the same applies to my main RV door, and I don't leave that unlocked.

I don't disagree with you in principle. But, for $50, I think I'll go ahead and get locks that tell the casual thief, "No easy grab here, move on to my neighbors' trailers and steal their stuff. Thanks for stopping by."

If it makes you feel better, you should do it.
