Ultimate RV Show Unit ??

None of the dealers within 500 miles of me has the model trailer that we want that is equipped the way we want it. I've been searching online and have found what we want at several places - - so we are probably going to be traveling soon - maybe.

Several of the choices are from Camping World. All of the Camping World units are advertised online as "Ultimate RV Show Unit". I have no idea what that means. Has anyone heard that phrase before and knows what it means? Would it be something that would make a visit to them not worth a long drive?

From what I can tell from their ad, it's a marketing tool. They have units that are part of their 'Ultimate RV Show'. For example, the Camping World near us in Houston advertises it like this "
Check Out Exclusive First Looks At The Newest RVs of 2023 During The Ultimate RV Show! Join Us On-Site For Food & Prizes, Special Show Pricing And New RV Financing Offers"
So no, I wouldn't drive miles unless the pricing is exceptional. It's basically on 'on site' sale with a fancy name.

sometimes a dealership will ship a unit to nearest location, if not, i would get with the dealership that has unit, inform them your on the way an see what type of deal u could reach, perhaps set u up in a free room/hotel, an have any cosmetic work already done,

I believe it's exactly what @reverse_snowbird said. Nothing more than a marketing tool. Last year I inquired about one of their "Ultimate RV Show" trailers that they had on the website because all they listed was MSRP and "contact us for Ultimate RV Show pricing"

Well the ultimate RV show pricing was $130 off MSRP. After that I got email's, calls and text messages constantly and it took several attempts on my end to get them to stop contacting me via phone and text.

Avoid Camping World if at all possible.

Thanks for the advice. I'll treat it as a marketing tool and forget about it / ignore it.

LOL. I knew someone would warn me away from CW. I'm after the best price for the trailer equipped the way I want it. Don't care if it's from them or someone else. I would never use a dealer for warranty work anyway. If it came to that I would either do the work myself or use the very good independent that is only a few miles from my home. Once the deal is done the dealer will never see me again.
