travel trailer vs 5th wheeler

forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between 5th wheeler and travel trailer, aside from how it hooks up to the towing vehicle?

Thanks,
Fastwilly

Started out tent camping but with 3 small kids that got old real quick. Just bought our first TT a few months ago. I do like the design and concept of a 5'er though and the supposed ease of towing, but at 6'4" I can't get over just about scraping my head on the ceiling in the upstairs part...unless they make extended ceiling models that I don't know about lol

The hitch is really the only difference.
