Unlevel land ??

I am new and have several questions concerning pulling and parking on unlevel land. How much grade side to side can the fifth wheel handle before damaging the truck, trailer or hitch. My land is elevated and house sets on top of rise. I need to pull my trailer around the house where the property drops away about 1 foot every 4 feet. At one point the truck and trailer would be unlevel about 2 feeet side to side. Any issues?

With out the trailer attached, how much pucker do you get in the truck? Remember weight of the 5th is going to be higher. Side to side, that might be too much.

I wouldn't try driving on a 1' fall in 4' run... but I'm old!

That sounds like an awful big slope. I would want to see it in person or look for another place to park it.

Rent a tractor and cut a simple road for safety. The 5th will start to roll on that incline. After you do this, you will have a safe way to always move and use your RV.

Your asking for a guess, a lot involved in what your asking. I wouldn't think it would roll if that is what your asking. I would get ready to pucker, drive it and stop and look at the angle, also remember most hitches have a side to side play, if yours is set correct you should be 6" higher then your rails of the bed. Use your truck and measure, if your side is dropping 6 " you have a problem. You might have to cut the high side down but you won't know until you try different things, and what your pucker ratio is, just my opinion before I would start cutting in a new road.

That's about a 30 degree slope. Not me either!

Just over 14 degree slope or a 25% grade.

At 12 feet tall that is still 3 feet off center, not for me!

See posts 12 and 16. He said he found another way. I guess we didn't ask him to show proof or submit an aerial photo of his "able to find another way."

OK but most Members either Do or are ask at the End "HOW the Problem was Corrected" so as to Help others! No different than a Member who posts,"My Elect Panel caught on FIRE" what could be wrong? Then come back after other Members try to Help and say "FIXED"! Just trying to be consistent with Common/ Courteous Policy! It seems like I am being "Questioned" on lots of My Posts, This will probably be "Questioned as well"! Youroo!!
