Checking mine today!

I've only run the heater in my Vibe once... just to make sure it worked. We've been using an electric space heater to save propane. Since the dealer (Fun Town Cleburne) has had my 268RKS for three weeks now just to fix a brake and water issues (warrantee expiring) I'll have them check for a vent on mine too. FR HAS forgotten to install minor parts on mine. It doesn't surprise me to hear about any nightmare issues on Vibes anymore! Although we love our floor plan, I'll never purchase another FR because of the sloppy craftsmanship and customer service!

I think you'll find that all RV manufacturers are pretty much the same. Although other than a few sloppily installed screws and two drawers that don't latch, I have no complaints about my Roo.

So my dealer phones are not working, Forest River Service has a mailbox that is full and I have only gotten one call from the service manager. Am I really off base thinking someone should actually contact me?

Where are you located and who is your dealer?

Here the link to the contact page for Vibe. Forest River RV Contact Us - Forest River, Inc.

Send it to Service and in the Subject line put something like NO FURNACE VENT--CO LEVELS DANGEROUS. Include you make and model along with the VIN number.

Also on that page you will find the address for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Thank you all for your help! We had an old used camper for a bit and this was our first splurge into new. I am in CT. We bought it at Longview RV in Windsor. I just think a follow up call would have been warranted instead of me having to do it all so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Is there any reason for me to be worried that the newly installed vent wouldn't be right since it is an add on?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm sure they made absolutely sure that they were in the right place and connected to the furnace properly.

Thanks for posting the pics. Without a doubt that was a grievous and potentially deadly mistake that was made during production.
