US Travel maps

The US Travel Map, it indicates where one has been, but what is the rule of thumb? Do you mark a state as visited because you drove through it, camped in it, you've been there but not necessarily in your RV? These are questions for the ages, please let me know, I would never want to go against tradition, rules, or have to serve prison time for doing it wrong.

If you have been there in your camper, put it on
The Feds will let you go then

The Rule of Thumb is, there is no Rule of Thumb. Fill in the states based on your own criteria.

Instructions: Check the states that you have visited, driven through, stayed in, rode through, you-name-it! After selecting the states that you have visited, select a map size, then click Draw Map to create your own customized map of visited states. Are you a recreational vehicle owner? Do you tour in your car or on your motorcycle or trike? Display where you have been on your website! Right-click on your customized map to copy the map or save it to your hard drive. Then upload your customized visited states map to your own website, Facebook or Pinterest.

If it was me I would only mark it off if I had camped in two different places in each state.

Love the post! Just had this conversation with my wife on Saturday! We bought a map to put on the side of our new Travel Trailer. To take it a step further, does it only count for you current camper? Or, can you carry over states you visted in you old camper???

When we had the map on our 5th wheel, we filled in the states that we have been to with our RVs, now we are on the 4th one. Since the Georgetown has full body paint I don't want to put the map on it.

Put one on a piece of plexiglass and suction cup it to a window.

My rule is that we have to stay overnight in the camper in that state.

(And yes, I plan my through-trip stops based on wanting to fill the map in!)

Oakman and Ford Idaho, thanks for the laughs!
