Not very creative here.

Name obviously reflects our main style of camping. We go north in the summer to escape Texas heat..... well normally. Not so much this year due to health issues.

Our camper is named Escape (pronounced the way Dory says it in Finding Nemo) and we are a bunch of gals (sis, me and our daughters).

Finding Nemo was our favorite movie and we always watched it when we tent camped at the beach.
So when we got the camper, which is our escape from life...it was the obvious camper name.

There are two "parts" to my story...

#1 I used to race dirt circle track cars. I crewed with a guy for 7 years before I went out on my own. I bought a used, but competitive car to start out. Of course, a used dirt track car's body looks like a sack of walnuts after a couple weeks, so before my first season, I re-bodied it with white aluminum.

#2 Miss Kelly collects cow stuff. You can't swing a dead cat in my house without hitting something cow spotted.

So after I had the new body hung, as a joke for her, I got some black vinyl decal material and cut out a bunch of cow spots and stuck them to the car. When she saw it, the giggles she had was well worth it.

I decided right then that I was going to keep them. You'll notice that I even painted the nose a soft pink. I don't have a picture of it, but I even painted my fuel cell to look like udders. In these cars, you can see the fuel cell from the back, its all open. Staying with the cow theme, I wanted the number 00 for the car, because they allowed us to modify the number with one letter like 24K or D5. I wanted M00 so bad. But somebody else had already 'owned' the 00, so I had to settle for 2%

Anyway, I rolled it into the pits for opening night and they give you a 'Bio' sheet to fill out for the announcer. I listed the car as a 1999 "Cattle-lac" and he just about ruptured himself laughing reading off the card when he introduced me the first time. He was an extremely talented and likable guy and he had the habit of giving drivers nicknames like "The Belleville Bullet" for a good racer from Belleville IL, or "Pizza Man" for a guy that was sponsored by a local famous pizza chain for years. At some point, he bestowed on me the nickname "Cowracer" and I used that on the STL Racing Forum when I joined. It was the first forum I was ever on, and I guess I just used it for all of them since that time.

On dirt, you wreck into the wall. On asphalt, someone else wrecks you into the wall.

Many years ago I had to come up with a user name for some site I can't remember. My first name is Lee and I owned a Honda Rebel at the time.

BTW - great idea for a post, some cool stories here.

When I entered the Army in 1988 the Drill Sergeants couldn't say Wiersgalla so they abbreviated it and it has stuck ever since. The 111 Part is because I an Stephen the 3rd.

Asquared - My and DH names both start with an A. A friend used to call us A squared. The nickname makes a great username.

FrankMor. When I got my first email address in 1992 I think, the 8 character DOS constraints had my work login as frankmor, Frank Morris, so I used frankmor on that email. I have used it online since.

When I started teaching my assistant started calling me Penny Poppins because like Mary Poppins, I was "practically perfect in every way"! She was a nut and I am not like Mary P at all but the name stuck!

The first part you can guess. The second part is even though I'm older now, when I'm RVing I feel like a pup!

Moved out of town a couple years ago into the woods. When people woudl come to the house for the first time (and sometimes the only and last) they whine and moan about how far it is...9 miles outside of a town of 35K. They really love the "logging: road to get there and claim it's 5 or 6 miles. It's two miles off the pavement so I call our place TwoMile Acres.

Indeed this is a great topic. DS who is a junior has always been called Sam. He's a great young man now but was always a hellion. You know the type - raced trucks then late models and now legends up here in the great white north. One night in his younger days after a good number of adult beverages he for some reason had to write his name. It came out Sma. I'm his ma and I'm old so......
