Water filter question

I just bought a used camper and found the water filter was not bypassed for winterization. Does the filter need replaced or can I flush it out?

I would replace the filter with a new one----

I would replace the filter with a new one. Use a filter that has a high MICRON rating or your water pressure will be very low or weak. If the filter is a 1-5 microns, your water pressure will just "DRIBBLE" out.

I use just a plain charcoal filter cartridge to get good tasting water, it also will remove sediment from the water.

What he said!
I'll just add that you can buy cartridges lots of places like WalMart, Home Depot,
Lowes or just about any big dept or hardware store.
Mine just say for "taste and odor and sediment" and are charcoal coated
or something. Usually cost $10-12 for a 2 pack.
