water filtration system

New owner of 8310ss. Ive read about the system coming apart and flooding the trailer. Does anyone know if your hooked up to city water connection. Does it run through this filter or how is it run? Id hate to flood my new trailer.

I'm pretty sure it runs thru your onboard filter. You can always loosen/remove a connector and then pressurize the city water inlet. Some of us have removed the onboard filter and run the external blue inline torpedo filter. Let us know how it works out. Good luck.

In many cases it is located in the compartment where you access your water pump and your hot water heater bypass valves.

That is exactly where mine is behind a small screw down panel. Unless you go to the external filter I would keep it activated. just check to make sure the plumbers tape is good at the connections and the filter is tight. We have not had a problem in 5 years,
