Water heater ?

I have a 24bh salem hemisphere hyper lyte. I was wondering if I need to switch the water off when I am not using it. It is located near the pressure relief valve. I will turn it off when I put my camping at my local rv storage place. My ? Refers to like leaving it in my driveway overnight

OP is referring to when the unit is parked in storage. I already answered this with what I do (not in this thread) but I encouraged the OP to post to find out what other people do.

And you would be correct. I misread it. Thanks for catching that.

That sounds like you are only referring to the "electric heating element" switch on a Suburban brand water heater. This only works or provides power to the heating element when connected to a form of 120 volt shore power. If the tank is empty of water, and you do connect to shore power with this switch on, you will burn up the electric heating element within seconds.

Is this the switch in question? Or are you talking about something else?

If so, you may want to read this entire thread:
