What would cause the hot water to stop flowing and start back

What do you mean by start back? Is it a tankless? More info would help.

Are you using the water pump? Or are you using "city water" with the hose connected to the camper?
If you're using the pump, the problem may be the pump itself. But it may well be something else.
If you're using city water and the pump is turned off and you're getting intermittent flow, it could be that you have debris in the lines. Try removing the strainers at the faucet (where the water actually comes out) and see if any junk comes out.

Check the by pass valves. If it flows for a few seconds, then gets cold, and you turn it off, wait a minute, and try again, and it works for a few seconds, and gets cold, the by pass valve is in the open position. check them all, and get them right. Do a search on her for diagrams.

Wow, I had just posted about the bypass valves and then saw that windrider had beat me to it. I have therefore edited this post. I recommend you follow windrider's advice.

I'll look at the by pass valve. It's the only thing I can think of.
