I bought my Wen 3800 3 weeks ago for camping, I am having some serious issues with the generator, let's see...where to start? Ok first off when I plug it into my trailer it will not run ANYTHING that is 12 volt, including charging my 12 volt battery, next the microwave lights up and blinks but it will not run the microwave, when you hit any of the buttons it's as if the buttons are broken, but it just keeps blinking and wanting you to reset the clock but you can't. Next, on Saturday night the 4th we had fireworks...that is the TV wasn't turned on but out of nowhere there was 2 loud snaps/pops now the TV isn't working either, and it did but in the boondocks you can't get any stations so it wasn't even on!!! Also when I plugged in my "SURGE GUARD" protector into it then plugged in the 30 A cord from the trailer the protector was flashing orange and sending codes and it wouldn't allow any electricity at all pass thru the protector...zip nada.
So we just got back from camping for 11 days in the mountains and decided to take the time to call WEN service, was on hold for 62 minutes, then it finally said that I was next, but when it was my turn the phone was ringing and no one answered then it asked me to leave a message.
So, my question to everyone that reads this and knows anything at all about these gens have any ideas as to why I am not getting any electricity from my ginny?
