With all due respect Sir/Ma'm, you could be correct. I do have a friend who is a Georgia State Patrol officer and he pulls his TT with his bass boat behind it very often over to Lake Eufaula. Not to say that Scott if not violating the law, but then again- -. I will look into this so I will know the accuracy of this. Thanks

State Troopers carry a "Get Out of Jail Free" card regardless of what state they drive in.

YOUR experience may differ.

Scott break a law he is sworn to uphold? Please, give me a break. Scott is one of a very few who ride their Harley's around here without a helmet. Thanks for the link Lou. From what I just read, Georgia does indeed have a 60 ft. limit and it is illegal to double two in Georgia. Maybe it's time for me to do a "Citizens Arrest" on Scott

If your towing state to state (interstate) you can tow double/triple trailers portal to portal regardless of local state laws.
Now, if the friend that leaves his driveway to go a couple towns over within the state (local tow) for some recreation activity, then yes he is in violation of that state's law.

Back to the original question, I have seen a truck here in CA with a ramp type system that the cart was at an angle just past the 5th wheel and going up the cab. If memory serves it looked like the cart was topless so it would not be any higher than the top of the 5er. It looked like the ramps went right around the 5th wheel hitch.

Stuff like this is like building a race car.
Q: How fast can it go?

A: Whats your budget? Can you weld?
