What occupies your time off season?
For the folks in the North that have put your RV away for the winter what do you do to occupy your time while you cannot go camping? A couple years ago I started building an HO Train Set in our basement with our grandson. Over the summer we are camping and he has many activities that occupy his time. But in the winter months we find time to be together and work on this. Of course we also work on planning our camping adventures for next year.
So what winter things do you do to keep you busy?
Here is a look at our progress on the train.

I just go south for the off-season and make it part of the season.
But, a few years back, someone posted pictures of their train table they built for their RV. I thought it was pretty neat:

My daughter bowls for her high school. So I'll basically be living in a bowling alley for the next 3 months or so.
This is the results of their last few seaons. They are currently 3-time national champs.

Camping season ends and time flows into caribou/moose seasons. After that, snowmachines, ice fishing, etc. Family get-together holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day. More winter activities and a trip to Hawaii or Vegas to break-up the winter.

Well I was into HO formany a year till eye site got to me so I did he next best thing and started a G scale RR in my back yard which grew to 1000 ft of track. I run all year and if we do get snow I get the plow out so I can still run trains. Its a fun hobby that I've enjoyed for over 60 years. Later RJD

As a somewhat new retiree I'm still acclimating and loving not having to be anywhere at anytime. I recently completed this step back cupboard. I have a slew of projects swimming around in my head but some can't be done until others are first. My garage has no heat so the workshop won't get much use for a few months. Yes, something on my list.

I do this year round. Its why we have a TT, to accomodate our travels to various flying sites around the country. Currently my wife and I are living in FL (temporarily) but we maintain a residence in Colorado. Traveling to flying sites from California to Florida takes us to some of the most beautiful places. My wife is an amatuer photographer & artist, and loves to mountain bike. She's also an excellent chase car driver :-)

I was a 37 year locomotive engineer and got into HO scale trains for awhile, I built a test setup to practice the many different skills required to built a layout. From bench work, scenery, laying roadbed, modelling rolling stock and structures. The hardest for me was getting the wiring figured out for a dispatchers board for blocks indicators and power switches. Now with DCC there’s no need for all the block wiring. I packed it all away when I moved and it’s all still packed except for some brass locomotives and cabooses.
My two main pastimes now are fly fishing and racing RC nitro hydroplane boats. So winters are busy fly tying and boat building. My latest 1/8 scale I just finished is the U-2 1974 Miss U.S. with a .67ci nitro two stroke and tuned pipe, these 4ft. long scale boats do 50-60mph on an oval course. All painted in auto paint with the paint codes from the real boat. We’ve had some great RV trips the last few years to the Nationals for a week of racing in Vegas, Salt Lake City and Seattle.
In the spring I take off for a month or two with my kayak and flyfish in British Columbia.
I took third place in Vegas with my Squire Shop

Great thread... and it's just getting wound up. Lots of interesting things we do in the off season.
Lots of talent shown in those pictures just posted.

For us, there is no 'off season'.
We travel north to camp and get out of the Houston heat June- September. The the rest of the year, we can camp around home between catching up on chores at home.
We did live in the north and sometimes I miss the forced 'down time'. Days when we were snowed in and we were forced to slow down.
