The only part I don't like is camping in campgrounds during July and August when there are big groups with lots of kids, music, noise, lights and pets. I only boondock then.
It is almost September which is a great time to go anywhere. Kids are back in school now.

My worst part of traveling with the trailer was driving thru IN. on I90/I80and I94. I have had Semi's on my right side, left side, in front and behind me all wanting to do 80 MPH in 5 lanes of heavy traffic.
Since this year we have taken care of this issue, we have permanently parked our trailer in an RV resort in SW MI. Now we drive our car with nothing more than our clothes and groceries everything else stays in the trailer. We can come and go as we please, no more coming home emptying the trailer and taken the trailer to the storage yard.

That works for us, too. The Cherokee 38P is permanently sited in southeast (tidewater) Virginia, about 150 miles away. We try to spend about 30% of the year there.
The 22' Northwood Nash is here in North Carolina. When I finish the reconstruction, we will take that on the road, planning on multi-week trips.

Actually, I don't like camping. Most sites are way too close to other people. I do like staying on the lake fishing and I like travelling. My TT is my lake house 3 or 4 months a year. My TT is my hotel room and restaurant. From my home's back patio, I cannot see another home. Grill, griddle and hot tub. I haven't found a camping spot as relaxing. Saw a buck and a doe in the backyard last night.

Packing to leave is always a bitter/sweet experience.
Another part is when there is no one to hang out with.

The worst part of any trip is the amount of time and energy it takes to get ready. Second worst part is the clean up when we get home and replacement of items we depleted while on the trip. The being there is never as smooth as being home, but that adds to the adventure.

What’s your worst part about camping ?
Loud outside TVs and Radios.
Worst experience to date..happened on our last camping trip.
Campsite 2 sites up from our site has large (extremely large) TV outside with surround sound and 5 kids playing games on it all day and into the night.
Yes...there was plenty of space (trees, bushes, etc) between the sites but we could still clearly hear the games they were playing and the yelling going on between the kids.
Thank goodness they left after 2 nights.
Don't get me wrong, I have grandkids and I tend to play games with them at home but I just don't understand why adults don't have consideration at campsites.
Sound travels....

Bad Day
When the rug rats and biscuit snatchers from a nearby campsite kick their ball into our campsite and it turns over my cocktail. From that point on, I'm in NO mood to recon with anything.

For me, it's the tear-down. You know, dump the tanks, clean the hoses, get everything ready to head home. Especially when it's hot and/or humid. It makes the tear-down a miserable process. Once I'm on the road, I'm fine. Even getting home and cleaning up and storing the camper for next time is not as bad, as I can take my time if it's too hot or otherwise.

Totally agree here. Patience and tolerance are getting thinner and thinner.

We pull into our site, drop a few chairs an crack a brew...

Amen brother. Motorhome sure makes it easier. Hook up a cord, push a couple buttons, plop down a couple chairs and it's Miller time.

Heaviest part is dragging out the cooler.

Why are we asking people; worse parts about camping, we should be focusing on positives in this world, not the negatives...

Unfortunately the world has changed. But I feel this is more about the little things that upset us while enjoying the positive things we enjoy.
Like dumping our tanks, Smokey fires and stepping in dog waste.
Nobody is focusing on the negative just sharing experiences. That’s what makes this forum great. Lots of new campers on the road and many have no clue.

That's a lot of in and out of the camper to get beer. Always thinking safety.
The cooler sits to my left and the best dog in the world on my right.

A couple things that aren't the best part of camping for me that haven't already been mentioned:
Not the most luxurious showing arrangements
Those people who bag their dog's poop then leave the bag on the side of the trail (more of an issue when hiking specifically). If you're not going to cart it out, don't bother bagging it! What do you think happens to all the wolf and coyote poop in the woods?!
