Problem Solved (I think)
So I bought the valve and replaced it. That seems to have solved the problem as the smell is gone. However the true test will in a week when we head to the Keweenaw Peninsula for a week.
Thanks to who replied, I will be back with a real update in about a week and half.

Mine was directly under the bathroom sink. It turns off.

I had the same issue this year with the vent under the bath sink. It was an awful odor only in the bathroom. I first suspected the toilet but that was not it. After some research here on ForestRiverForums.com I read about the vent under the sink. I shook the vent and the odor disappeared in short order.

I may have to look into this as well, getting some of that smell but its not in the bathroom, the vanity is outside the shower/toilet room. I'll check that valve out. Thanks for the information.

This thread has everyone that has never heard of this "valve" looking under their sinks to see if they have one, that includes me! I found mine under the kitchen sink. When the OP said they screw off, does this mean you grab the head and just turn it to take it off and see if yours is any good? Or, are there separate screws that hold it in place?

The fitting itself is threaded. There may be a few that glue on, but I haven't ran into any of them. They fail regularly enough that you need to be able to replace them easily. Here are what the ones in RV's usually look like.

This is the vent that is my bathroom
Pay close attention to the one you buy, I almost bought the wrong one. Then I just compared the numbers on the caps. Also it screws (turns) off as the inside the cap (mine) is threaded

dalford, I'll have to check under the bathroom sink. The only way I found the black tank anti-siphon valve under the bathroom sink was looking for the icemaker water shut off valve. Same goes for the talked about AAV under the kitchen sink, looking for a plug under the sink/counter to plug a soundbar into, while this thread has been going on. Hey! There's my AAV too! type moment, lol!

My odor fix was only temporary. The stink came back last week. Some shaking and it was fixed but I have to replace the AAV. Any brands or models preferred over others? I want to replace it with one I do not have to shake every weekend. LOL I see they range in price from about 5 bucks to almost 30.

You cannot install a maxair vent backwards, the vent will not open.

What the %^&% is that stench?
We bought the cheap ones at Lowes - bath and kitchen both went bad
The shaking thing was opposite for us - new ones do NOT rattle when shaken but old ones we took off did rattle - 🤷🏻

Hey cavie... do you have a link to share that points us in the direction of “HD”? I have to assume it’s not the motorcycle company, but they seem to have a strong hold on searches for HD and valve.
Kidding, of course. Home Depot here is not well stocked usually.
Cheers!

Update: Sewer cap didn't work. Dometic to the rescue
So I bought the sewer cap a few weeks ago and after a day so on out on our last two trips the smell while better is back.
Now I hate calling support lines or getting work done on anything. I had nightmare of a time trying to get my TT flushed at a General RV place (that's whole nother story) last spring.
So I called Dometic because you kind folks here informed me of the problem with the Dometic 300 toilet. Ohhh my what an experience. They were soooo nice. I expected to give a long winded explanation or get static from them. Nope, simply "Yes Sir, there was a problem but we have fixed and your new toilet, free of charge including shipping, will be there on Wednesday." I called them yesterday, I expected for it to take 2-3 weeks as we are leaving in a week for Florida.
So thank you Dometic for standing up and providing outstanding consumer support. Thanks to this forum for sharing the knowledge.
Hopefully this will resolve my smelly problem. I will keep you posted

Awesome !!! Yes Dometic did have issues with one version of that toilet.
We have not encountered anything like that with our Wildwood.
Thankfully..!
