My wife and I are going to be packing for our trip. We are heading out Tuesday morning for a 5 night/6 day trip to Harpers Ferry, WV.

We used to avoid the 3-day holiday weekends - saying that those were "for the amateurs". But we've been going to State Parks for the last several 3-day weekends. You do see some interesting groups

I have been full-timing for the past two years for work. I am going to enjoy the 4th at home with family and friends and swimming in my pool.

X4. That's one of the great benefits of retirement. We can either avoid the holiday jam or get there ahead of time and just observe the antics😂

Smile Flatcreek Farms Waco

We are taking our first trip in our new RV to a quiet RV park outside of Waco. I can hardly wait to try it out. Traded an older Flagstaff Classic Super Lite bunkhouse in for a new Flagstaff Classic Super Lite 8529IKBS. Lots more room! Our kids and grandkids will come for hamburgers & goodies, and we'll be driving home on the 4th. Happy Independence Day Everyone!

Camp Holiday in Boulder Jct., WI. Right near the comprehensive paved rec trail system to provide safe cycling for DH, strict fireworks enforcement (and far enough from town so theirs is not an issue) for me and the furkids. Cable TV hooked to our outside TV to watch the NASCAR race by the campfire! Best private campground in the state of WI, IMHO. Great people run the place.

You are bound to see a few bozos who mishandled fireworks, drank too much, ate too much, or otherwise did something that wasn't too smart this weekend. I hope it's not too crazy for you! I'm in health care too.

We will be camping at Weikiwa Springs State Park north of Orlando. We plan to swim in the springs and canoe down the river. We got new fishing poles and license, so we will try to fish a little too. Relaxing is the name of the game this weekend! I know it will be busy, but when you work full time, there is no going during the week when things are slower.

Leaving Zion National Park on the 4th of July and checking in to Bryce Canyon National Park on the 5th of July. Any suggestions for one night in a public campground. We will not be going via tunnel. We do not need hook ups for one night. Needs to en route to Bryce. Thanks in advance.

I'm already set up in McCall Idaho, she-who-must-be-obeyed (Alias my wife of 34 ish years) will be coming up this weekend. She has a few more years before she can retire.
