what's the difference between these sink stoppers?

Dumb question, I'm sure. New RV owner, and I guess sink owner in general. What are each used for? They both have holes and stuff but one seems to screw in and tighten down but the other just flops around

One may be for your bathtub/shower and the other for the sink.

I've lead a sheltered life and have never seen non-locking sink strainers in a camper.

Regardless of where they go they should have a way to lock them in place to prevent stinky tank gasses from entering the cabin after the water in the P-traps has vibrated out from all the rattling when on the road.

I purchased sink “strainers” to catch fine particles; they are not stoppers. Perhaps one is that.

That’s funny I never seen a locking one on all the RVs I have owned.
