What's Your Favorite RV Option or Feature?
Hello,
Just thought I would see what everybody's favorite RV option or feature might be. Or things you wish you had on your RV.

I guess I could get things started. I think the outside shower is a great idea. It makes it easy to clean up the kids or pets before they come in if they are muddy or very dirty.

My favorite RV option:
The slideout. I think they have revolutionized the industry.

i just wish mine had an outside light, though we use lanterns, but a light would be nice or a receptacle. I will know next time this one was just experimental, when I hit the lottery on wednesday or saturday, I will fix that. (Continue last statement until I win)

Favorite? The one we could not do without is the slideout and air conditioner. The ones we really really like but don't have to have (in order of favoriteness):
awning
microwave
heated mattresses
spare tire
ladder
electric tongue jack
outside shower
heated holding tanks
Ones that turned out to be useless: day/night shades.

I like a bathroom arranged so that someone can be using the sink while someone else is on the pot. I can be flexable as to how this is accomplished but this is a must in an RV for us.
Also, we much prefer a freestanding table and chairs as opposed to a booth dinette, as Sweet Wife and my knees usually touch in a dinette. Plus you can move the chairs around like "real" furniture.
And golf-cart batteries, big tanks, and power vent fans round out my list.

Love having a slide-out, the skylight in the shower, gas/electric water heater, all of which our old hybrid didn't have.--- And WVSteve, if you camp with Shore power hookups, run an extension cord under your rig, plug a power strip into it,and you'll have all the outside outlets you need without worry of tripping a breaker.

Ours is the Slide and the heated mattress.
Our old unit it was the outside shower but on our oddball Its not in a handy place and easier to use the hose and faucet most of the time.

1. Room baby, room. We've spent our time in little trailers and enjoyed them all, but the room of a long trailer with slides... who wouldn't love that feature.
2. Residential fridge with ice maker is pretty sweet too.
3. Thetford china RV 'commode'... foot pedal takes some doing when your trousers are at your ankles, but still a nice upgrade over plastic.
4. the kid's room and 2nd bathroom set-up. It was the big selling point and we still love it.
5. Lights. Feels like a hundred of them installed everywhere. FR must own a light manufacturer.

Central vacuum! Fantastic fan in bathroom! full wall slide and the storage and room it provides. Funny thing though I didn't know how much we needed these things until we got them!

You folks have pretty much covered the spectrum. However, I'm old and lazy and just love my electric jack.

Maybe mentioned already, but the outside cookstove and fold up bed for bicycle storage is very handy
