Magnolia RV Park in Kinards, SC. It will be our first time there. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but it has a pool and they had space for us. When you wait until Wed before to try to find a spot, you take what you can get .

We may take a trip into Columbia to visit friends and/or see the zoo one of the days of the weekend but mostly will be sitting around relaxing! One of the kids is on crutches so that limits us a little bit from our usual hiking trails and ramblings.

Since we are just under 1 month of TT ownership all the reservable sites were taken at our local State parks (Branched Oak Lake just NW of Lincoln NE and only 15 minutes from home). I was able to get into a non-reservable spot on Tues, thus we are paying for a spot for 6 nights and only there 3. I pulled the TT out have it plugged in and set the Therm so it will be ready when we get there. Also got the spot next to one of the long timers so he is keeping an eye on it for me.

This is our 3rd trip in the 1st month with the TT and still feeling things out so it is nice to be both camping and close to home/stores in-case things come up.

Camp Driveway this weekend. The reason is we are heading out next weekend for a 9 day trip to Tybee Island, GA, River's End Campground. We already have our spot reserved. This weekend starts the pre-departure checklist of things. Hope everyone has fun that is out there camping. Be safe and enjoy....

Staying home this Labor Day. We had reservations at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Al , but Hurricane Isaac took care of those plans.

Spending weekend at our lake lots in La Cygne, ks. Tanglewood lakes. First camping trip with the new puppy. Our old dog (she was almost 18 when she passed) did not like the outdoors much. So she only came down with us once and didn't have much fun. The new dog is having a blast though. Loves chewing on sticks.

Pismo Beach, CA. We've been here since Friday and are having a blast. Dogs love the dunes and the beach. Having fun in the Jeep as well.

An interesting array of locations...

How do you guys find all these places? Are they local hot spots, or is there a good book that lists rv campsites?
