Here is the state map for where I've been with my Travel Trailer since purchasing it in Feb '19.
I hope to add quite a few more next year, but for now, I'm full-timing on family property to catch up on unexpected bills.

We have to spend at least one night in this motor home to get a sticker. Since May 2016.

OK! My question then -
When do you consider visiting a state to color your map?
Does it count when you just pass thru or must you stay a night?
I am sure everyone has there own opinion.
Maybe some of you full time folks can shed light on that subject?
I am curious. I have passed thru numerous states that I have not colored.
Thank you in advance

Our criteria for our map...at least one night in the state in the trailer (and one geocache).

This map only shows where we both visited, It also includes all our trips back to the 80's when we began camping. Hope to make a trip west next summer and should add 6 more then.

We usually go to a base camp area and take day trips to other state tourist or historical sites. So, if the camper got us to where we can get to the next state, we include the next state. Our method!

Maybe you should have asked where haven't we been?
New Hampshire, Delaware, Rhode Island, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho and Hawaii!

We don't do a map, but we do fridge magnets, at least one for ever state we visit. p.s. side by side residential so large enough.

OK! I only counted if my camper traveled to and stayed at least one night.
I never thought it counted for another state if I traveled there minus camper.
As I stated, everybody has there own idea, that is why I asked and thank those who shared. Just was curious, if there is a hard and fast rule.

Cool map!!
|
I second South Dakota, we stayed once at the Sylvan Lake Lodge in the middle of May when it first opens for the year. No one there and no crowds to fight. 60 degrees in the lower elevations and snowing in the mountains, just absolutely beautiful.
One picture is of the lake itself, the one of the mountains and the brick building are on top of Black Elk Peak (Harneys Peak), hell of a hike but worth it. The bomb range sign and the rusted car are relics from a WW2 bombing test site in the Black Hills we discovered while Geocaching. Called Reflector City it tells the story of how families were relocated so it could used as bombing range. You can read about it hear Its a he!! of a drive up just for the history, the scenery is an added bonus. Geocaching has taken us to some amazing places. and to 40 of the 50 states, every state east of the Mississippi with the exception of Maine and Rhode Island.

Thanks everyone for sharing! We'll hopefully hit the Dakotas and the upper midwest before too long.

For us we must stay a least one night in our trailer to consider colouring in a state or province.

Fun finder - Yes, Thank you!
That is exactly how we handle this map coloring.
Stay overnight in camper to be considered visiting & coloring.

these are the states we've been to in the tt. (I've been to many more by car, airplane, and traveling as a kid). Hoping to hit many more in the years to come (expecially after I retire, hopefully, in the next few years).
