Where to put the bbq line
we started out this summer trying to figure out how not to cook inside the new to us 5th wheel.
no dedicated line to the RVQ
no bracket for the support bar
so it started with trips to the LP store (picked up the latest release from the Monkeys because I'm sure i looked like one coming back in several times to get the correct fittings)
finally got the tank door to close while the disconnect line was attached (couldnt figure out what the thumping was on the other side of the trailer...)
had to find a support bar (last one went withthe 2012 Salem when it sold in July) got one.
had to find a location to attach.
RV dealer suggested after looking it over - on the large side hatch door incorporating a wide wooden support on the back side - done
Hose reaches the RVQ but looks horrible when attached.
Then DW saw a pic someone else posted on the internet .. so i did it.
Secured the cover from the local RV dealer (5th trip to them for parts and accessories this summer - they now give me a 20% discount on sales)
Hole saw just a bit too small in diameter. Found this out by matching the drawing on the tape to the saw...
Drill the hole anyway and then fire up the garage compressor.
Go to the tool chest in the garage and - find it locked - I never lock stuff up...
look for the key - find it on my truck key ring along side 14 other keys i have no idea what they are for.
unlock the cabinet and get the Nibbler and safety glasses.
trim the hole and insert the accessory.
Trim the hole again X 3
accessory now goes in...
remove and caulk, apply 3 screws 3 degrees off plum
remove screws and straighten
re-insert screws
and all the while im doing this, i stop to re-insert the 30 amp power cable, drain my fresh water tank and check the air pressure in my tires.
nice and clean.
My wife says I have AD oh look at the time i missed my lunch again.
