We avoid camping on major holidays. That's when all the people that only camp once a year come out.

Noisy, lots of drunks, kids running amok, etc.

Last time we went camping on Labor day, the people next to us just dumped their kids off on us. "Go play with those people's kids." Obviously I don't mind having other kids around, but I'm also not a babysitter. These kids stuck around all day, and I finally had to ask them to leave at dinner time. Later around 9 at night I was playing cards with my wife and they came back and said "My mom is going on a walk in the woods with her new boyfriend, can we stay over here?". No. Go away.

The next morning, they came by during breakfast. We told them we were eating, but would be outside later. I sit back down at the dinette and watch one of them run over and steals some of my kids' toys from the bucket under our awning. I had an unpleasant talk with there mother and made sure they weren't coming back.

Lol, I remember those days being more popular when we lived up north but according to the lady at jetty park, peak season (during the week and weekends) runs from November thru April and then there booked thru August only on weekends if there are no pending storms

We love the park too, and we go frequently during summer (which is 9 months out of the year here!).

We'll be at the Coachmen rally in Goshen the week before the 4th. So will be getting home on Sun hopefully before the madness begins. I am hoping with the 4th on a Tuesday most will take off Monday from work and the roads should be cleared out.

Yes. Our local lake(Wright Patman) as usual. If we didn't camp there I guess we wouldn't camp at all.

LOL I guess we are the freaks that only camp when it's a holiday. Honestly I am a people watcher and during the busy times there are plenty to watch. Just wish there was a beach. HA HA

Lake Chicot, AR for a week. May have our little fishing boat by then. Need to pick it up at my in-laws at some point and get the transfer paperwork done.

Headed to New Mexico to Carlsbad Caverns and surrounding areas for 2 weeks with the DW. She has never been, so off we go to knock out some more on our bucket list.

We usually do not go camping, boating, picnicking etc. on the major holidays. This year I may be campground hosting so I guess I'll be camping all of the major Summer Holidays.

Traffic is worse over the "chosen" holidays but I like. Camping anytime i can and get extra days to do it without using vacation days.

Can't wait to spend 4 days at Sugar Barge in Bethel Island CA. This will be our 22nd 4th of July. Many great times and memories: 4 generations of family, 3 generations of RV's and 1 generation of Boat.

Looking forward to it!!!

We will be at Warrior Creek in North Wilksboro (providing I have the boat running), this will mean the DW will be in one truck and me in the other.

What's the big three? We usually avoid going anywhere on the 4th , the one time we did it took us 3 hours to drive home 15 minutes away, at least this time if they still do the fireworks at the beach all we have to do is open the gate and walk 3 rvs down, lol
Memorial day the 4th and labor day. We love near a tourist trap wisconsin dells so yeah you don't move well. In fact around here the weekend before memorial day is horrible s there is at least 3 permitted car shows in the area and 3 or 4 non permitted.

We camped in Fall Creek Falls several nights last year. Fed up to 11 deer each day with apples from my hand in our campsite. Awesome and beautiful place.
