Memorial Day camping

We will Knoebels Grove Elysburg Pennsylvania. I don't care to go camping on holiday weekends but don't have much of a choice since I work in Ministry. Have fun and drive safe!

Going to Gettysburg on Monday and staying there for a week and 2/3s then leave there for Rhinebeck, NY. Nice being retired, we go when everyone else has to go home.

We, along with Ouse and his family, are heading to Chippokes State Park in VA for the weekend. Our daughter and 2 kids are coming from Northern VA to join us. Love having the family together all enjoying the outdoors.

Who's camping over memorial day?

Actually headed out on Memorial Day and staying rest of the week. Will be at the koa in Hocking hills area of Ohio.

Second trip for the year so will be nice not having all the "opening up" stuff we had to do first time out.

Saw above some retired and going back - not as bad as mine - we spent two years looking then found and bought Jenny. 3 weeks later found out I was being "downsized". All good though and the MH was last on the list to have to go if needed [emoji3]

We stopped camping Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day many years ago. Also we haven't camped during the summer since the 80's.

Too many people, too hard to get reservations, too many knuckleheads, too much traffic.

Sounds like it's gonna be a great time!

No Memorial Day camping for us this year, but hoping to head over to New Mexico the 2nd week of June for 3-5 days mid-week.
We ordered a new shed for backyard and they want to do the build on the 31st. That gives us a week to level ground and move rock. Once we're done the MH can settle in on the upgraded pad we put in over the weekend. 76 blocks, 16x16x4, with stone down the center.
Part of the shed is for camping supplies, 20' from the side door of motor home. Should make packing and unpacking super easy.

Camping with son & his family at Sherkston Shores RV Resort (Sun resort) in Ontario, Canada. Used to camp there maybe about 30 years ago with a whole gang of friends and our kids were toddlers, haven't seen it since the "new group" came in and cleaned the place up!! We will be there from Thursday until Tuesday, because we can!!

The jury's still out for us on this one, we're checking in ON memorial day because they had alot of sites open up so maybe it won't be as crowded as opposed to checking in on the weekend.
July will be the real test for us, crowds, heat AND humidity .

Absolutely

Been waiting since October to get back out. Waterfront site on Cupsuptic Lake in the western mountains of Maine. Head out on Friday with a forecast of up to inch of rain or more. I can handle that okay, made easier certainly having the right gear. Weekend forecast is not too bad overall. I am so ready.....
