Who's ready for winter to be done?

I'm in count down mode for the first trip of the season - T minus 35 days here! Who else is already set for their first tow of the season? Where are you going? Heading to the Eastern Shore of Maryland here!

Winter is just part of life here. No use complaining about it, it will happen if I want it to or not!

I definitely do not want summer to start until COVID is more under control. I don't want to miss out on travel plans due to restrictions.

Angry I Don't Do Cold!

Well I live in central east Texas. The low yesterday was -6. This is a historical record as it has never been that cold in Tyler, Texas before. Last night it was 24 degrees and they are forecasting 13 degrees tonight.

I have my travel trailer stored and I hope adequately winterized. I am hoping to start camping again in March but time will tell.

Everyone stay warm and enjoy your camping, when you can.
Oy, yes, I do not like cold weather.

The worst part is I cannot get my pickup truck out of my driveway. Can't go get milk and other things needed. Oh, well. We can make it anyway!

READY!!

We went w/o power for 30 hours, SW from Dallas. Been brutal, set a record low for last 3 days combined, 7 degrees.. Even areas on the TX coast were at 26 degrees. At one time, a third of the state had no power. All the fuel centers in our area were out of gas 2 days ago.
Just bought a new to us 5 th wheel last week. I am hoping it was winterized enough, and that I got everything on my old TT.
VERY, VERY ready!

Just came inside from clearing the most recent shot of snow. YUK! DW and I are planning a 10 day trip to the Florida panhandle in the middle of March. Can’t wait to go but with the cold weather I am more than a little nervous about freezing temps (on the way...on the way home...what if I missed something when I winterized last fall and I end up with a wet spot under the RV?)

It will be great and I’ll deal with it to be camping!!

Winter’s grip has been far too mean
Time to load up and split this scene

Down the road to places far
Sit with a cold one under a star

If I don’t go soon I’ll damn sure scream

Never stopped for winter, as usual. Visited Catalina State Park north of Tucson and Lost Dutchman State Park east of Phoenix in the last eight weeks.
Toughest part, given I live in Flagstaff, is digging out from the snow and de-winterizing the Rpod for each trip.

Who's ready for winter to be done?

It can't end soon enough! I have 20 plus inches of snow on the ground right now in Wisconsin. Its going to take awhile for this to melt. I'm guessing it will be gone in April sometime. Are first trip is at the end of April I hope!

Don't do cold either

ME! I'm definitely ready for winter to be over. Just about every plant in my yard has been killed because they don't survive below 20 degrees. I'll probably spend my spring replacing plants and then we'll see.
Haven't got any travel plans yet.

I have hope it will be soon.

My Crocus, Daffodils, and Tulips are starting to peek through the mulch in my flower beds.

I find it amusing that people rely on a groundhog to tell them when spring is coming. If you looked at the calendar on February 2nd it's easy to figure out that it is 6 weeks plus 4 days til the first day of spring (March 20th, 5:37 A.M. EDT).

The first day of spring on any given year is 3 to 6 days more than 6 weeks from February 2nd.

Ever wonder why many farmers consider groundhogs as pests?
