Winterizing Res’l Refrig

First time we’ll be winterizing our Columbus, sad, very sad...we were looking forward to another snowless winter[emoji41] Good part is that “C” will be in an enclosed structure.
Will be 1st blowing out system then adding adding pink stuff.
Two questions concerning res’l refrig: 1. do you let the pink stuff go through the ice maker or just drain water and shut off the water supply to ice maker?, 2. do you leave the doors open a crack to let air circulate or close them tight?

TIA

I run antifreeze thru the fridge but I have a inline filter so I keep a old one and switch it, at the cost of a new one keeping a old one for the antifreeze works for me.

we leave a door open when ours is in storage.

we run antifreeze through the refrigerator / ice maker. before we do that we take the refrigerator filter out and replace it with a dummy canister (frigidaire). other models have a bypass plug.

do you have electricity available so you can run the ice maker until it makes pink ice? if not there are some tricks that can be utilized to open the ice maker valve so that you can pump antifreeze through the ice maker.

we do not get severe long cold snaps but we do continually get down below freezing. antifreeze is cheap so i error on the side of using it.
