WOO HOO! All booked for 2016!

So, got all of my camping dates booked for 2016. This is only our second year with the trailer, and last year we were disappointed with all of the dates we wanted to camp but could find no where to go. Got my Christmas bonus and used it to pay all of our campground fees for the year.

Going to stay mainly local, within 150 miles, with one long trip to Tempe, AZ for a week of Spring Training Baseball. Go Angels!

3 nights at the end of February in Yucaipa, 7 nights at the end of March for spring training, 3 nights in May out in the desert near Calico, 4th of July weekend at Prado and back where we started for the Labor day weekend in Yucaipa!

Very nice. We only have one trip booked so far. It's a 2 weeks to Yosemite. Got all the campgrounds booked so we're ready.

We've only booked one trip to the states.

Brother and his family in their TT are coming on our valley fair/dells trip.

All the rest will be in Canada.

Good job with planning ahead! I have stayed at both Prado Park and Calico Ghost Town. Some day I will make it to Yucaipa.

I only have 3 trips planned but I have 2 foot surgeries planned at the start of summer so I need to wait and see. I don't do much camping during summer due to the heat here in SoCal unless I head to the coast.

PS
Rancho Jurupa park in Riverside Co is good for 4th of July. Great view of the fireworks but it's hot there. Crystal Cove Moreno has a good view of the fireworks there too.

Lets see:

Got two quick weekenders planned before our our week at Grand Canyon in March.

Then 6 reservations so far including memorial weekend and the 4th. Our summer spot only allows 6 months in advance so I'm on every week booking spots.

Learned that national park pass gives 50% off at both our winter and summer spots so booking as many as possible!

Our first year with a trailer was about 4-5 years ago. I remember the learning curve of getting reservations. Our first year, we camped in every terrible spot across the state. From our campsite (often next to a dumpster), we would look across at the family parked right up against the lake/beach/river/view and be jealous. Not anymore!

Sadly, to be in those "preferred" spots, requires planning far ahead. Camping on holidays, which I know retired folks don't like to do, is even tougher...often requiring us to be on reserve america within minutes of when days open.

Our second year, I had the whole year reserved out that way, and it was one awesome summer! Good on you for getting the reservations done! You'll have a great time!

Two booked so far. Spring break at the beach in Florida and Memorial Day on Kelly's Island in Lake Erie.

Working on a Dakotas, Glacier & Yellowstone trip late Aug - Sept.

Up to almost 60 here in the Buckeye State. Got a couple mods I want to do today.

Yep. Crazy that you need to do scramble to make it work right? We are booked up through July...and will pepper a few more weekends in hopefully in Sept and October. Our major issue is the kids school. End of May to the 10th of August this year is the prime time. Problem is we don't do the holidays because they are too crazy so that leaves not much to choose from.

We have averaged roughly 25-30 nights a year.

HAMMDOWN

Been to Kelly's Island quite a few times. DW & family camped there every summer. I'm sure we crossed paths with your folks. We plan to host when we retire too. 259 days not that I am counting!

I'm ready to book but DH is hesitant since this was our first winter, he wants to make sure all is good when we open back up in spring. I mainly want to get the week we take in August booked since I know it will fill fast. We don't do any of the holiday weekends so I'm not too concerned about getting in May or June.

Went to the show yesterday and really can't wait to get out there.

This is our first full year with our trailer and we are excited to get started. So far we are staying within a few hours of home: Canyon of the Eagles in Burnet TX in a couple of weeks; Lago Vista TX Easter weekend; Guadalupe River SP Memorial Day weekend; back to Lago Vista for the 4th of July; and Jamaica Bay RV Park on Galveston Island in September. Probably do some more weekend trips around central TX in there somewhere, and then RenFest in Oct. Can't wait!!!
