Work N Play warranty hassles

Well, I am reasonably happy with my 28sk, but really sort of amazed at how bad the warranty is.

I live in colorado, and after getting no deal of any kind from the local dealer, decided to trek all the way to Ft Wayne IN to buy my trailer from Mutton Power Equipment.

It turns out that the converter was broken, and after 11 months from the purchase date, I contacted Forest River who instructed me to take it to a dealer near me.

The dealer found the converter problem, worked with Forest River and had a replacement shipped to them. I picked up my trailer about a month ago, and was quite pleased with the whole deal.

I just got a call from the local dealer, who says Forest River is now denying my claim, saying that the converter was broken from the factory, and should have been replaced before delivery.

What is quite confusing to me is, if the converter was broken from the factory, how could they possibly deny the warranty claim now?

I'm going to give a "courtesy" call to FR tomorrow morning and see what the complete story is.

Luckily my SO works at a local TV station, and they have one of those consumer advocate reporters.
