Would you buy forest river again if you had it to do over again?

We are looking at buying either a forest river 365SAQ or a heartland silverado sv37qb. the floor plans are very similar. I went into the dealer to look at the 365saq again on sat and this poor family was there and had their 365saq they had for 5 weeks in there that had so many bad problems the dealer is going to ship it to the manufacturer to do many of the repairs. They had a small fire and have a punch list with over 50 items on it, i looked at the unit and was literally falling appart all over inside!! This did not help my confidence in forest river products. so i thought i would do a poll to see how satisfied people are with thier forest river products. Thank you for helping us to make our decision.

DID buy another Forest River product.. awaiting delivery!
(And its custom!)

Forest River has some big money backing and they DO stand behind their products.

All you have to do is go to one of their RV Rallys. The Internationla FROG Rally... there are as many service repair techs and attendees. And they do a fabulous job fixing rigs thet require service.

The folks on the production lines, sales, department heads etc... all so happy to help and see you when you come for a visit.

And they are just about the only company out there REALLY working to make a better product by listening to their customers.

Forest River Again?

After 3 months I would buy another. Every manufacturer has issues and sure there are lemons but so far service and the dealership have been great. We had a few minor issues that were fixed up promptly.

I would (and have) buy another FR, as long as the the floor plan worked and it felt as well built as a similar competitors TT. However, next time I'd buy from the cheapest place I could find. My local FR dealer has been useless in any requested help.

I am the same, after 3 months I would buy another.
The couple of minor issues we had, the dealer took care of right away.
We haven't had to talk to FR about anything yet, the dealer just tells me to bring it right in and they will take care of it and any paperwork.
Sounds like from reading some other posts, we found a good dealer.

Don’t judge Forest River by the issues with one unit in just one of the many brands that fall under the Forest River label. I’m on my third Forest River fifth wheel and I’d buy another in a New York minute. As a matter of fact after attending my 2nd FROG (Forest River Owner’s Group) rally in Goshen I won’t even consider anything other than a Forest River product. They are committed to customer satisfaction.

Yes in a heartbeat.

4th summer with our Shamrock 19.

All is well, but I do take good care of her. Like anything else it needs a bit of TLC.

Yes I would buy their product again, mine is approaching two years old now and I have had quite a lot of new trailers over the years and this one is no worse than others but better than most, I have never had a trailer that was 'perfect' and I think the nature of the beast makes this almost impossible, all those outsourced products being put into one.

I have a 365saq and would buy another in a heartbeat! (Maybe even the 376bhok after seeing one at the rally). I've had only minor issues with mine, even though the Sierra replaced my axles and wheels at the rally with beefier ones (all new 365's come with 7k axles). The floor plan is great! Would like to hear from heartland or keystone owners experience with service techs at their rallies. FR treats you right, many bad experiences come from dealer issues and their lack of support.

wow, thanks very very much to all of you so far, the dealer for the sierra looks fantastic so far. I really like the owner and the sales and repair staff, i even warned them I live just up the street and and very meticulous and a perfectionist.

Did any of you look at heartland products? specifially the silverado that is just like the 365saq sieria? If so why did you not buy the heartland/silverado?

again thanks for helping us make a decision. Its so much money!!

I did look at them, but can't remember why we went with Sierra. The bunkhouse on the Sierra is laid out great with room, storage, & entertainment, which was major selling point. The king bed up front, and outside kitchen were also tops on our list. Was really just little things that we compared to the Sierra, and we found we were measuring all others to what the Sierra had, then it was a no brainer. Although that was early 2012 and others have improved. My treatment by FR and Sierra (plant manager gave me his cell number and called me on my home from rally to make sure all was ok!).
