XLR Garage Dining Benches and Night stand Formica

Looking for some help! We use our bench seats in the garage for just about everything, but they are really uncomfortable! My husband wants to remove the seats and add a thin piece of plywood for additional support, then reattach to the frame. I will add some extra batting in the zippered area, they are in good condition so we are not looking to replace them, just make more comfortable. Any suggestions, has anyone tried this? The Formica top and trim on the small nightstand hhs started to bubble, almost like it got wet, we are guessing it was caused by humidity, since it's stored a good part of the time, any suggestions on how to repair it! We have a 2013 XLR Thunderbolt. Thanks!

Sounds like a decent plan for fixing the benches.

As for the Formica, I think you’re going to have to tear out what’s there and replace it. Maybe you can take just the top off?
