Furrion Convection/microwave

We have a 2016 Blue Ridge and we were having problems with the convection/microwave. Sometimes I would smell something burning when the convection was on but it didn't seem to last long. The other problem was when we shut the door to the unit, sometimes the microwave turned on without entering any time and also if we put the timer on, the unit would shut off. We had to jiggle the door to get it started again. We spoke to Furrion, they said it was probably a faulty door switch and eventually the unit would not work. Since we had the extended warranty, we ordered an new unit. When my husband took the old unit out, the wall behind the microwave was burnt. We could have had a major fire in our rig. See attached pictures. He ended up putting a steel plate behind the new unit.

It was definitely getting warm back there! Good thing you found it before it did cause a fire.
