Underneath the bar where the two stools are, we have about a 1/2 to 3/4" gap between the end of the trim/support strip piece and the main vertical side by the door. Is this gap by design? (i.e. does yours have it too?
Went and got a picture this weekend and am attaching here. I honestly can't tell if this is the design or if there was a deliberate deviation during construction in making the trim shorter as it matches up to the wood behind it.
