slideout

I have a solaire 190x.

the control panel for my slideout has stopped working! (no lights, no override) with the slide out! Is there a way to manually retract my slideout so I can get it to the dealership?

The fuse is located very close to the battery. It should be a 30 amp fuse.

Not sure where that is on a Solera; but it IS there.

It may be a "fast blow" single use automotive type fuse in a green capped holder (like in this travel trailer photo) or a resettable current limiter type with a button on the side.

There is always a manual backup, but it varies by system. Whose slide do you have? (Not familiar with Solera).

Are there wires or is it a rack and gear type?

Can only hope it is NOT a (Swaz & Yank) slide system! You must remove the Motor and Have Help to PUSH it in! Youroo!! If you look on the end walls and there is a Alum.Track that looks like (Worms have made a home) you have a (Swaz & Yank) system!

Didn't the dealer show you how to manually retract it?
Should have been described during your PDI. If they didn't, SHAME on them!
It's normally a standard part of a good PDI.

That's a Schwintek part number. Just for clarification, you don't HAVE to pull the motors on a Schwintek to retract them all the time. The module has failsafes built into it and flashes an error code in most cases. If it's not a life or death failure, it has an override mode. It may very well be there's a wire loose or something and the module won't allow it to retract (one of the sensors is disconnected so it can't adjust the motor speeds to bring it in evenly). Find the module and see what codes it's flashing.

Thank-you all!
There were no lights on module and override didn't work.
We had to disconnect all connectors on this box (to release the locks) and then slowly push in by manual labour! WOW! My husband is a gym jockey and I'm a soccer player and we could barely move it! I would have hated to be +50 and try to move it!!!!!
