Would I be Ok towing 163x with a 2013 Tahoe LT /TV Specs payload 1545lbs max towing capacity 5200lbs

dry numbers are useless.

what's the outside yellow sticker weight? Palomino's website says the UVW is 3603lbs., not 3392lbs.

it has a HUGE CCC for a hybrid. but you'll find that you can easily get close to that 5200lbs. max for your Tahoe.
by the way, that 5200 number is with only a 150lb. driver and a full tank of gas.
any other passengers and cargo in it, lowers that 5200 number.

why does your Tahoe have such a low towing capacity?
2007 Tahoes had a 7000lbs. towing capacity IF it had the factory tow package.

does yours not have the factory tow package?

Yes. You would be perfectly fine. You want to keep an eye on the payload in your Tahoe. Your at 1545 but you'll need to subtract the hitch weight off the top, so that should leave with around.. say.. 1000#'s (as a margin of error and dealer options) for passengers and cargo.

They other weight you'll want to keep an eye on is your Palomino. Dressed out and loaded you're probably going to be in the neighborhood 4500-5000. Even though that isn't maxing out the cargo capacity of your Palo.. it's pushing max on your tow rating. 1000-1500#'s isn't difficult to come up with in a typical load out. Water, battery/ies, fuels, tools, jacks, etc etc...

That's also getting right up there on your gross combined vehicle weight if your Tahoe is loaded out as well.

Best recommend would to make a test load out then run it down to your local truck stop and hit the scales. You will also want to check your actual pin weight. You may need to adjust your weight load in your Palo to get a level tow.. you don't want your pin to be too heavy, but then again, you don't want it too light either or you might get excessive sway.

I would still run that setup with a weight distribution hitch, so again.. that weight would need to be subtracted from your Tahoe's payload capacity.

I hope that'll get you started. A little care and some fine adjusting and you should be golden.

I think you might mean the 1500 payload capacity rather than the 5200 max tow.

That was the ccc off the manufacturer site. Haven't gotten a yellow sticker look yet on a unit.

I might have missed it, but I don't recall you mentioning the year of your rig. Dry weights can vary from model year to model year, revision to revision, or depending on what options/packages that might be installed on your particular rig.

Printed dry weights just get you "into the ballpark", but a few hundred pounds this way or that won't make a lot of difference when you are estimating your towing package capacity. If you're THAT close in the estimated weights that you'll be topping out then you're "too" close for comfort.

You have a healthy cushion.. nothing to get crazy with, but your well within the ballpark.
