2015 Surveyor steps pulled away from the frame

My steps pulled away from the frame today. There are only 4 bolts holding the two step unit on with no support bracket mounting to the frame. Is this a OEM oversight or a poor design?

Thanks

If you list the model of your surveyor and add a pic I'm sure you will get some good helpful answers.

It appears to me the Wood Floor below the door area has Failed! Most steps also have supports from the Box area to the Main Frame! I am also a believer in "Step Supports" that Eliminate "Cantiliever leverage effect when entering/exiting a RV! Youroo!!

I agree with what youroo said, myself I have to step stabilizers on my rig to prevent the flexing and twisting.

Yesterday i placed additional support braces to the frame and it failed again. I guess I'll be using stand alone steps going forward.

I meant two (not to) step stabilizers like these https://www.amazon.com/Camco-Stabili.../dp/B0024E6ZRW You may want to investigate the floor under the door.

I wonder if there is a metal reinforcement under the steps or just wood. Anybody know?

The Wood is Rotten, you may replace the floor in the door area and use "Cantilever Support" attached to the Frame! These can be acquired from most frame MFG! Then put step supports on! Youroo!!

Since this thread is over 2 years old and and the OP hasn't posted on the Forum for two years, you might try sending them a PM and see if they're still active.
