Unhappy 2013 XLR 390V10 Floor repair

The chase lounge (non OEM) padded foot, grabbed my vinyl floor covering while I was extending the slide. Before I noticed, it had torn a section of the vinyl about 16 inches in the shape of a triangle. My question is how hard is it to install a new flooring after I finish removing the rest of the vinyl covering? It only appears to be "glued" around the edges, which leads to the question of what type of glue do I need to use to secure the new covering to the subfloor? Any guidance or suggestions are welcomed.

I’ve never attempted this type of repair, but I bet your local Home Depot or Lowe’s could be helpful. Or a carpeting/flooring place. Good luck.👍

If you can get a piece of matching from the manufacturer, or even under a cabinet, (your flooring was laid before any cabinets were placed) it can be repaired.

Lay the patch over the damage, and secure with tape around the edges. Make sure pattern/wood grain is visually aligned.

Carefully cut a triangle or oval with a brand new razor blade right over the damage, cutting through both layers. Your patch should now be a perfect fit. If you make a goof, Do again slightly bigger. Glue in with contact cement so it bleeds up through the seam and wipe excess off.

Watch some YouTube for demos. Works exceptionally well on most linoleums nd vinyls.

There is no glue, usually it is laid in place the cabinets and walls are built on top. You can replace it. Trim around the entire sheet and remove it in one sheet if you can. You can then use this as a pattern. Lay it on the new sheet and cut it out. Hold the new sheet in place with 1/4 round around the edges..
