2017 XLR 29hfs

Does anyone know the outside wall stud spacing on a 29hfs? Also will a conventional stud finder locate them. Looking to add a fold down shelf in the garage but it will be a fair bit before I'm back near the trailer to search for them.

B, the studs are not at any consistent / predictable spacing, such as 16" o/c. Rather, they are placed where something needs to be fastened. In the garage, they are at the very back edge / ramp; then where Happijacs are attached; at the door sides and at the garage / bathroom wall. I am attaching pics that with lack of dew sticking, their locations are revealed. I don't think a stud finder would work for you, mine didn't. Hope that helps. WW

Hey Wolf,

Thanks for the pics. Not much back there at all is there. I bought a couple of marine style folding hinges and thought I would add a shelf as a kind of pop work bench in the back. Looks like back to the drawing board.
Thanks again

Btw, I did add a flip up counter in the kitchen as shown by another member on here, and love it. When I get back the my trailer I'll send pics. Nice add on to very limited counter space for prep work.

B, this is my counter top, I made it and have it mounted via flip up supports which I fastened to the Happi Jack rails. The supports could be a bit heavier duty, but it works. I fastened the support to a piece of hardwood, although metal would have been better, which has to be spaced out to allow up and down without hitting the valance. The nice thing is its adjustable in height and flipping allows room for motorcycle. Tip, if you do something like this... do not remove the screws you see on the lift, it will fall apart and is difficult to reassemble :0

I made only one, but you could do this to both sides. Each side would easily sit 3 adults.

I also added LED light strip all around the bottom of the bed which I covered with a white sheet. The lighting back here is great!
