2018 XLR Hyper Lite 29HFS

I have a 2018 XLR Hyper Lite 29HFS with the upgrades AC to 15,000 btu ... I know the camper has a 30amp plug but how many volts does this camper need? I'm only ask because I was thinking about buying a used Generac GP5500 generator (5500 watts running and 6875 watts starting) that has an outlet for a 30A 120/240v ... which is a 4 prong ... but the only adapter that I could find says it is 125V Max. Load 3750 Watt ... and I'm not sure if this will work to run the whole camper on this generator ... any thoughts?

Thanks

most generators for 30 amp are 4000 watts . these are the onan . do not plug into 240 you'll fry all your stuff . the 30 amp is 120v not 240 . 3 prong hot, neutral ,ground 120v 30 amp

Good Morning...you are confusing the watts (not volts) that you need to run your rig...which would be roughly 4000 watts or more...so the gennny that you are looking at will most definitely be enough for your needs. The generator has a 4-prong plug, so you will need to purchase a 4prong to 3 prong adapter...and if you don;t mind a little of my opinion...the Generac generators work very well but they tend to be really noisy (loud)..in comparison to other models that I've been around...cheers and enjoy your 29HFS

that generator will handle that load. I have the same trailer but I use my Honda eu6500 for the summer (to run both AC's ) and the Honda eu3000 in the fall and winter. the adapter you are referring to will work just fine. have fun with the trailer.
