2019 XLR NITRO 28KW Furrion Rear Camera wiring?

Can anyone tell me how is the pre-wired rear camera power set up on my 2019 Nitro 28KW? Back-up, live for observation, or running lights for observation?

Thanks in advance for any help here!

CJ

I THINK all those mounts are wired to running lights, (at least mine is, 2019 Rockwood) so you can use either a backup cam or observation cam. It is not live all the time, have to be plugged into tow vehicle.

Great, then I'll order an observation model camera! And, check it with a meter to confirm.

Thanks!

Wow, so doesn’t that drain on the battery when parked and not being used? How would you not have a dead battery then? This seems like it would be a problem, unless a switch was in line?

I always have my trailer plugged in at home and when I camp I have a 2400 inverter gen that runs off and on through out the day. I have not actually looked for the power source but the only things that have 12v hot would be the bed, awning if you have it, the fan and power lock for the ramp. you could put a switch in if you wanted to isolate it.

NJKris nailed it! I confirmed my pre-wired Furrion mount is wired to the running light circuit on my 2019 Nitro 28KW. Guess I might be running some lights more often than I thought?

49willys, I'd double check yours, and bet it isn't on all the time, and if it is, change it up so it is on your running lights and isn't drawing power whenever you have your battery disconnect turned on.
