2021 Nitro 321 slide cable repair
We picked up a new XLR 321 two weeks ago in Ohio. Eight hundred miles into our trip back to Utah we noticed a kitchen slide cable almost sheered into. I pulled back a piece of glued rubber that covers the hole into the coach. The cable was misaligned with the hole. I took a screwdriver and hammer and corrected the interference. Thinking this would be a easy repair, boy was I wrong! So I learned the cable systems are on the sides of the slides with the chain running vertically between the upper and lower cables per side. I'm being told that no cables are replaceable that the whole assembly needs to be replaced per side. (very expensive) So my question is is there anybody out there that has had experience with these systems? Can any single parts be replaced? Thanks

You have an Accu-Slide system.
I know that individual cables can be purchased, so at least some parts can be replaced by themselves.

You can replace individual cables . pain in the rears . If i were you i would get spare cables to have on hand , get proficient at replacing them and also get an extra gear box and motor . people complain about the schwinn tech slide but nothing is worse then the accu slide system . plenty of u-tube vids to help . good luck

Cables sell on Amazon for about $24. Comes with clamps and eye bolt to install. Best if you replace before cable breaks completely.

Since it's new, why not exercise your warranty and make it the dealer's problem?

You have another option. Under your warranty you can get an independent service shop to do the repair. They just have to get pre-approval, and you might have to pay them and wait for the settlement check. Most of them know the drill and can walk you through it.
It is generally felt that the mobile service folks do better quality repair. Their livelihood depends on satisfied customers. Repair is just a burden for the sellers, especially warranty work.

Update on this 321 slide. I talked to a very helpful tech at BAL Norco Industries. The new cable system is called a G-5, a outer cable repair kit and interior cable kit will be available soon with purchase off there web site. Also some basic information on the system. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone.
