29HFS Roof Weight Rating

Does anyone know what the weight rating is for the roof on a 29HFS? I would like to climb up there to clean and condition the roof, but I'm a big dude and don't want to do any damage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is certainly made to be walked on but no idea what the rating is. You have to get up there for maintenance.

Some of the heavier members on the forum have taken 1X4X4s or the equivalent and laid them on the roof to stand on to distribute the weight while they cleaned it.

I was wondering the same thing. Really need to go up there and check it out. Mine is garaged though, not to worried.

I talked to the XLR rep (Don Burgess) and he stated the roof can take 700-800 lbs.

Its not how much weight the entire roof can take, because that is spread out over the entire roof (what, 35,000 square inches?), what can it take per square inch is the issue. Not only that, but of the 800# it can take, it already has 300# or so before I climb my butt up there. I do put my 240# on a 36 square inch shoe, or 72 square with both feet down, could I damage it. I can tell you I feel the roof flex and certain spots squeak. I try to keep my weight towards the edges, but you can't always do that. One thing that I do is throw a packing blanket up there which at least keeps me from marking up the already mold stained roof material. So far, so good.
