417 AMP Door Stop

Does anyone have a good solution for the XLR 417 AMP door to the bedroom and being able to hold it open? We have tried traditional door stops on the floor, but tend to find the gap from the floor to the bottom of the door is too tall.

Thanks,

Dave

Can you mount a door catch high up on the wall?

That is the direction I am heading, but since the door edge matches with the slide edge I am worried I can't get enough contact on the slide side to attach the receiver of the stop and to mount it to the wall will require it to be pretty close to the hinge of the door.

Any chance you have pictures of the area that you're working with?

I have a wardrobe slide and a door to deal with, but I'm sure my layout is different than yours.

Sure. Kind of hard to see as the door is open, but the stairway on the left the door edge over laps the living room slide by an inch or two

(pic is from the internet as the trailer is not readily available).

Ideally the door would open into the master like the prints for the 417 all show then a door stop exactly as you posted would be easy.

Ok, I did a little searching and found a video that shows the door:

I think you could either put the post end of the door catch on the wall to the right of the slide OR use a smaller version of the same thing and put part of it directly on the slide fascia itself.

Let me grab a picture of my slide. You'll see that they work around them fairly well.
